(55) A butterfly!

Unnikuttan's house was located near the famous temple in the village of Silbaripuram. The entire area was filled with the beauty of the countryside. Many people used the path in front of his house to reach the temple. Primarily, it was a custom for people, even from distant places, to arrive on the first day of every month. One day, as an old Sanyasi (ascetic/sage) was passing by, he saw Unnikuttan standing beneath a roadside tree. White pupae under the leaves were flying away as butterflies. When the Sanyasi noticed him, he paid close attention to what the boy was doing. Unnikuttan was using a small stick in his hand to break the covering of the pupae tucked under the leaves. But the ones he broke did not fly up as butterflies. They all fell dead. As Unnikuttan stood perplexed, the Sanyasi called out to him— "Son, the butterflies know how to fly up on their own. But because you tried to help, their lives were lost. This is because they were a little early and had not achieve...

(9) The Valuable things!

Once upon a time, the entire region of Silbaripuram was a dense, impenetrable jungle. One day, a lion came prowling from the eastern side of the forest, chasing after the animals. At the very same time, a tiger was driving a herd of animals from the western side towards the east. However, the clever animals outsmarted them both; they climbed up trees or hid inside rocky crevices, leaving the predators with nothing. Just then, a rabbit lost its grip and fell down from a rock! Both the lion and the tiger rushed towards the spot where the rabbit had fallen. The injured rabbit was unable to run away. The lion declared, "I am the one who chased this pack of rabbits here!" The tiger roared back, "No! This rabbit was among the animals running in fear of me." First, they started a heated argument. Both insisted on having the full share. Soon, the argument turned into a violent fight. They were so busy attacking each other that they didn’t even notice a fox sneaking in, gra...

(8) The Body Power!

Once upon a time, most of the Silbaripuram kingdom was covered in dense forest. However, large wild animals were quite rare there. Occasionally, domestic animals from the nearby villages would get into fights and wander off into the woods. In this way, a domestic cat once reached the forest. The crows there had a habit of cawing loudly to alert all the other animals whenever a newcomer entered the forest. Following this tradition, they started making a huge ruckus. Hearing the noise, a fox appeared on the scene. A crow said to the cat, "Welcome to our forest! Anyway, you are very lucky to meet this fox, who is the most intelligent animal here." The cat replied nonchalantly, "In terms of intelligence, we can never match the humans back in the village." But the crow was not ready to back down. When it sought the fox's support, the fox began to mock and ridicule the cat. After a while, a hunter from Kosalapuram came running that way, firing shots at a wild boar. I...
